In short

The autumn drop turns the Copper Golem into a chest-sorting helper and adds oak, birch, and cherry shelves.

Mojang Studios has released the autumn game drop for Minecraft, finally bringing the Copper Golem back from the community mob vote. Crafted from copper blocks, the golem wanders near chests and automatically sorts matching item stacks, oxidizing gradually until it freezes into a decorative statue.

Shelves change decorating

The drop also introduces oak, birch, and cherry shelf blocks that display up to three items each and activate with a simple right-click, giving builders fresh options for bases, shops, and market stalls on multiplayer servers.

The update is available now on Java and Bedrock editions, and schools receive a free oxidization lesson pack this term. Community creators are already uploading warehouse sorting tutorials and redstone-free storage designs.
